Counselling for Significant Changes in Life including Grief & Loss; Trauma Experiences at any age; Employment Issues; Understanding Suicide; or Health Related Change is very necessary. It is important to talk about sudden, unexpected loss and how you feel and may cope presently and in the near future. It takes time and patience to understand and accept significant change. Expressions such as tears, anger, guilt, relief, confusion or avoidance are common, but need to be understood as temporary and often necessary to adapt and move forward.

Counselling through Transition and Loss

Counselling through transition and loss sessions usually involve sessions over 6 to 12 months at a slow patient pace. In essence you are incorporating new information into your life that is difficult. It is a journey to understand and accept what has happened and what to expect in the future. New perspectives are often part of that journey.
